Tools: ChatGPT, Claude, DALL-E, Figma, Webflow

I believe AI is a powerful tool that makes sense to have in a content creator's arsenal, but should be used thoughtfully and with intention.

While working at a fast-paced startup, I've regularly used generative AI tools to manage my workload more effectively. I could spend half a day working on a blog post about how to build credit, but when there's user research to conduct and new features to launch, the blog post shouldn't be taking up too much of my time.

Here’s a sample workflow I created while writing for Exhale’s financial resources hub:

  1. 🤖 Ask ChatGPT to brainstorm potential angles for a blog post about a chosen topic
  2. 👩🏻 Write a brief outline using one of the generated angles
  3. 🤖 Prompt both ChatGPT and Claude to produce a 500-600-word blog post using my outline
  4. 👩🏻 Create a working first draft using the best content from both outputs
  5. 👩🏻 Refine the draft, aligning it with our brand voice and performing thorough fact-checking
  6. 🤖 Run the polished draft through ChatGPT to review it with a copyeditor’s eye
  7. 👩🏻🤖 Design a final graphic, occasionally using DALL-E, and publish the post

The article on this page is a product of this process, demonstrating how I used AI to jumpstart a content deliverable while ensuring the final product remains on-brand and human.
